Color Me Rainbow

Project type

Participatory Performance

Date

2019

Location

Monterey, CA

A participatory performance in which the artist invites participants to transform a plain dress into a vibrant, collaborative artwork. Originally performed at the artist’s studio during the Color Full Play installation using water pistols filled with dye, the performance sometimes brought unexpected intensity, highlighting the unpredictability of shared interaction. Later adapted for the LGBTQ community at A Gay Affair using squeeze bottles, the work fostered joy, inclusion, and collective creativity, allowing participants to express themselves while creating a shared, colorful symbol of togetherness.
