Coastal Conversations is an evolving interdisciplinary gathering that brings artistic practice into conversation with ecology, science, and other forms of knowledge. Developed with ecologist and artist Emily, the project began through shared exploration of the coastal environment and questions about how different disciplines might inform creative practice. Rather than presenting a fixed workshop or educational program, each gathering creates space for conversation, observation, experimentation, and making.

The first gatherings have explored seaweed pressing and other ways of looking closely at coastal materials. As the project develops, I am inviting additional collaborators and participants from different generations and fields, testing how an artist-led studio can become a place where knowledge, perspectives, and creative practices circulate between people.
