Play Full Ground - Exhibit

Project type

Socially Engaged Art

Date

May 2017

Location

Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History

A vibrant, immersive one-night community event that introduced interactive and participatory art to the Monterey Bay community. The exhibition featured playful functional sculptures, including a 14’ whale beanbag and a can of sardines with underwater projections, creating an underwater lounge installation that invited guests to engage with the artwork and one another. Through art, food, and music, the installation fostered connection, creativity, and appreciation for the local ecosystem. This event marked the beginning of Play Full Ground as a socially engaged art project for the community, establishing the foundation for future participatory experiences.
